NEW ONLINE MERCHANT, FLYBABOO, JOINS UATP NETWORK

Washington, DC – Flybaboo, the Geneva-based European carrier, is the latest airline to join the UATP network as a new UATP Merchant, effective immediately.  Flybaboo now accepts all UATP corporate cards and is a part of the UATP global corporate travel payment network made up of more than 220 airline and agency merchants worldwide.

Flybaboo is the second airline in the UATP network that is powered by Datatrans for online acceptance of UATP.  Datatrans is the leading Swiss payment service provider (PSP), specializing in online payment transactions.

Flybaboo will settle all UATP transactions through UATP Settlement Services (USS), a low-cost, weekly settlement system that matches fees and air tickets electronically, allowing for easy reconciliation of accounts for UATP transactions for customers with non-clearinghouse transactions.

“Flybaboo’s mission and overall strategy is to always address the needs and travel requirements of its clients; while responding to new opportunities including the expansion of corporate travel throughout Europe and high-yield short-haul flights out of Geneva.” said Laurent Chappuis, sales director, Flybaboo.  “By accepting UATP, Flybaboo will be able to offer to our corporate clients their request for UATP acceptance, while lowering costs and increasing our competitiveness in the market.”

“In joining the UATP network, Flybaboo has smartly positioned itself to facilitate customer demands and grow its base in the corporate travel sector,” said President and CEO Ralph Kaiser, UATP.

Flybaboo launched services in November 2003 and currently serves ten European destinations with its fleet of two Bombardier Dash 8 Q300s.  Flybaboo’s existing Geneva-originating links comprise the Italian cities of Florence and Olbia, Ibiza and Valencia in Spain, Zurich in Switzerland, the French city of Nice and resort of St Tropez and Prague in the Czech Republic with further expansion continuing.  Its approach aims at reintroducing the please of flying for today’s business and leisure travelers, through such amenities as on-board catering, dedicated lounge, telephone check-in and many more.
