Carmel Valley Lodge marks 30th Anniversary

Sandy Dhuyvetter and TravelTalkRADIO celebrate the dog’s life in CV.

May 2, 2005 - San Diego, CA -- CelestiaLINK LLC today announced The TravelTalkRADIO production team was in the Carmel area this past weekend creating programming for their weekly shows. The crew was hosted by long time CV resident Peter Coakley at his Carmel Valley Lodge during the visit.

Sandy Dhuyvetter, executive producer and host of TravelTalkRADIO, had the opportunity to interview Mr. Coakley onsite at his lodge. The interview, recorded on Sunday, May 1st, marked the 30th anniversary to the day that Mr. Croakley and his family took possession of the Carmel Valley Lodge and moved in. Over the last three decades, the Lodge has seen many improvements and expansion under the Coakley family and has become a very special place for people and their dogs.

Ms. Dhuyvetter had some glowing remarks about both Peter and the pet-friendly environment he has created here in CV over the last three decades: “We have traveled nearly 30,000 around the world in the past two months for our shows and its nice to really feel like we are home here at the Lodge with Peter and his staff. The simple country elegance of the Lodge, the friendliness of all we've met here and being able to enjoy the companionship of our family dog makes this a very memorable place in our hearts.”

Each of Peter’s staff averages nearly 20 years of service at the Lodge and that in itself tells a story of hospitality, good management and loyalty. If you like to travel with your dog, this lodge should be high on the list when visiting Carmel Valley. A soothing environment for families that consider their “fur kids” to be an extension of their lives, the cottages at the Lodge are spacious and sparkling and offer wonderful amenities including a ready-to-light fire in the fireplace, plenty of extra firewood, and packages of S’Mores to top off the hearth experience. There is an honor system video library in the reception area and VCRs in every residence. The property offers a complimentary hot breakfast each morning under market umbrellas on the patio with nearby hitching posts for canine diners. All are welcomed to cavort on the grounds and doggy cleanup bags are readily available from outdoor dispensers. Then there is the hot tub, swimming pool and sauna for the masters to enjoy while Fido catches a few Z's. There is also a conference center at the Lodge for business meetings and receptions making the property a great choice for corporate retreats, family reunions and weddings. Most of all, this is the perfect home-away-from-home for true dog lovers.

Ms. Dhuyvetter insisted that the pet friendly Carmel Valley Lodge was a secret too good to be kept and vowed to “spread the word about this little slice of puppy heaven to our TravelTalkRADIO listeners in the US, China, the UK and around the world.”

Listen to Peter Coakley’s story and learn more about the Carmel Valley Lodge this coming Sunday, May 8th on TravelTalkRADIO. The show can be heard live on KABL 1460AM “The Pisano” serving Carmel Valley, Salinas and Monterey and in the Bay area on KABL 92.1FM. The show will also be streamed worldwide live over the Internet and then archived at www.TravelTalkRADIO.com for listening online 7x24 for the next several months.
