November Notes

30,000 miles in 30 days! That’s what Sandy and Julie Brady logged in November as they globe trotted from Angola, Africa to San Francisco to Prague in Czech Republic and onto a Southern California mountain community called Julian.

Sandy kicked off this record setting month by serving on the media panel at the annual Africa Travel Association conference in Luanda, Angola and doing a LIVE broadcast of TravelTalkRADIO during a raging electrical storm from the La Presidente Hotel in Luanda with guests including His Excellency
Eduardo Chingunji,  Angola's Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Dr. Gaynelle Henderson Bailey, Ph.D., Vice President of Africa Travel Association (ATA), Terry Leonard, Foreign Correspondent for Associated Press Southern Africa, Chief Margaret Bola Fabiya, Cultural Initiator for Nigeria, Lance Bailey, Architect and Urban Developer, Robert Elits, Official Photographer for Africa Travel Association, Jerry Bird, Editor/Publisher of Africa Travel Association magazine, and George D’Angelo, Member of the Finance Committee of the Africa Travel Association.

Then it was back to the States to broadcast LIVE from the
Adventures in Travel Expo 2005 in San Francisco at affiliate Bay Area station KQKE “The Quake”. Sandy’s guests in SF included several exhibitors at the Expo: Jacquie Burnside from Intrepid Travel, Tom Sutton from Snorkel Mart, and Jeff Adam from Goway Travel, Prem Sharma from Somak Safaris, Sally Kopf from Costanoa Lodge near Santa Cruz, CA and Jim Forberg, COO of Adventures in Travel Expo.

Sandy and Julie Brady then flew to Prague in the Czech Republic for the annual conference of the American Tourism Society (ATS) where Sandy broadcast LIVE with guests including Alex Harris, Chairman of the American Tourism Society, Michael Stolowitzky, President of the American Tourism Society, Robert Whitley, President of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA),
Akel Biltaji, Advisor to His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Christian Grage, General Manager of the Corinthia Hotel International in Prague, (Sandy's recommended hotel of Europe and beyond). Then it was back to the US again for a quick trip to Julian, California to produce a travel news segment for a new TV pilot featuring Sandy and her travels. Special guests in November also included Heidi Kuhn, President and Founder of Roots of Peace, and Annabelle Marie, Director of Voena Children’s Choir.
