Welcome to this weeks TravelTalkRADIO newsletter.
The summer in Southern California has been sweet and the memories of this glorious time will be forever in my mind. Getting our son, Eric, ready for his study abroad program at the University of
Okayama in Japan and watching our 16 year old daughter, Michaella, work her first summer job have been tremendously rewarding. Professionally, we have had lots to celebrate too, including our 5th anniversary broadcast of TravelTalkRADIO this month. Over the summer months, we began using technology that allows our visitors to click on the playback buttons for our audio and video segments and immediately hear and see programming.

In the next month, we will be announcing our new TravelTalkRADIO blog which will give our listeners and audiences an opportunity to share their thoughts during our broadcasts and while we are on the road.
While we still refer to ourselves as TravelTalkRADIO, what we do is far more than traditional or conventional radio broadcasting. What makes us unique is that all of our broadcasting doesnt just go out into the atmosphere and disappear. Everything we do at TravelTalkMEDIA - from radio interviews to TV broadcasts to our newsletters - all come back to the Web for ready access by our worldwide audiences on a 24x7x365 basis. TravelTalkRADIO.com is a repository for all our production including archives of radio programming, TV programming, photos of our guests, links to their Web sites as well as additional content that is sure to get our audiences the full story at their convenience. We are using convergent media technology to harness conventional TV and Radio with the power and reach of the Internet to serve as an extremely effective and efficient communication tool. TravelTalkRADIO is truly the convergence of old and new media.
For our upcoming travel expo schedule, TravelTalkMEDIA is delighted to be working with Chip Caruso and his Travel Industry Shows again this year. Chip's highly successful travel expos and tourism conferences have made him one the leaders in the industry. TravelTalkRADIO will be broadcasting from the third annual Home Based Agent show and conference in San Jose, California in mid-October. This is a "trade only" show, meaning you must be in the travel business to attend. This might be a good time to think about getting into the travel industry if you are not already in it! There are some great home-based businesses related to travel that offer some wonderful opportunities. In fact, David Heidel from Coastal Vacations will be on the show this Sunday to talk more about home-based travel business opportunities.
We are leaving for Egypt next weekend and we will be broadcasting TravelTalkRADIO live from Cairo on September 10th. Egypt's story has many faces and many beautiful regions to share. We hope to captivate you with welcoming images and compelling content. You can also count on seeing some great TV work on this adventure through our KUSI TV Channel 9 distribution on conventional TV in Southern California and at our Web site.
