Just when I think I
can't get more excited
about a program, it
happens, I get more
excited! This week we
are going to cover a lot
of ground from China to
Israel, to Las Vegas,
Atlanta Georgia and back
to Southern California.
We'll start the program
with
Sharleen Wollach to
discuss Wild Women
Travel.
I just got back from an
evening with the Wild
Women and found them to
be charming and raring
to go! Sharleen will
share with us the
background and concept
of Wild Women Travel.
(It's really not what
you think!) And we'll
hear
about the special cruise
offered to mothers,
daughters and friends.
It's an impressive
group from impressive
roots. I was
invited to present to
the Wild
Women Travel event on
March 10, 2007. If you
are in the
San Diego area, I would
like to invite you

Sandy talks
about lost
luggage on TV
this week. She
says, "It's more
about
mishandling than
stealing" and
she reminds viewers. She
also suggests attaching
permanent identification and check
your destination tags
given to you be
attendant, making sure they
are marked with
correct city
destination and
check transfer
status too!"
Put a copy of your
itinerary in checked
luggage and always carry
change of clothes in
your carry on. As a side bar,
Sandy talked
about
TUTTO
luggage. It fits

comedian and
ventriloquist,
Ronn Lucas out of
Las Vegas this week. He is
having his premiere show
at Wyrick Entertainment
Center Feb 10, the night
before our programming.
I can't wait to see if
we find him speechless.
I doubt it. He has
always been on of my
favorite comedians and
he is known as the best
ventriloquist
in the world
by The New York Times
and The London Times.

travel movement in
China. I took my first
trip to China with
Sujit several
years ago and truly my
life changed forever.
Sujit offered a platform
for Chinese officials
and 50 other countries
to come together in
Nanjing to exchange
ideas on marketing
travel. This is where we
began our relationship
with China National
Radio and Voice of Jinagsu Radio in
Nanjing. This
relationship, thanks to
Sujit's introduction, has
blossomed into a true
friendship between the
people of very different
backgrounds. We
work together to share
our cultures with each
other listeners. Travel
is on the minds of the
Chinese and never have
the Chinese people
traveled so much. We
will talk about tourism
in China and why China
offers so much for the
traveler who wants to
experience the ultimate
in cultural exchange.
Also our monthly
contribution by the
Center for Disease
Control will be this
week. Dr. Christie
Reed will be joining
us to talk about healthy
travel and she will
alert us to the news
this week at the Center
in Atlanta.

SPECIAL DATE BAR RECIPE
from EIN GEDI RESORT
HOTEL
(very easy to make).
1 1/2 cups of rolled
oats
One cup of walnuts
1 3/4 cups flour,
(can be whole wheat
flour if wanted)
One
cup of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp.salt
1 cup of melted butter
Mix all ingredients well
stirring in the butter
last.
Pat half of the mixture
on bottom of a shallow
butter Pyrex dish.
Spread
with date filling. Pat
remaining dough over
this. Bake in a slow
oven 325 degrees.
approx. half an
hour...maybe a few
minutes less until light
brown on top.
Date filling: boil 1
pound of pitted dates,
cut in half with one cup
or (half: depending
on you) and 1/2 cup
of water until smooth,
add lemon and orange
rind and cool. specially
delicious.
Daniela won a prize for
this!! We'll have to ask
her where that happened!
