| Welcome to this weeks TravelTalkRADIO newsletter. This weeks program is filled with experts from every part of our field and even some that work on the fringes of travel will be stopping by to give us the good word. Hank Philips, President of the National Tour Association (NTA) will appear on the Sunday show to share the association's insights into tour and travel with our audiences. Hank a well-known travel industry expert celebrating his 21st anniversary with the association this month. |

Matthew Lesko
Best-selling
author
|
Best-selling author on free government grants, Matthew Lesko, well talk about Government Programs To Fill Your Gas Tank. Unfortunately, because he is on our radio program, we will miss out on his magnificent wardrobe which is as much a part of his appeal as his frantic message. His yellow polka dot Lexus and his colorful clothes including suits covered with neon question marks, bright and mismatched socks, wild bow ties and a seemingly inexhaustible collection of eyeglasses in every color of the rainbow are his trademarks. This should be fun and informative.
Also joining me this week is Gary Murphy from BRENDAN Worldwide Vacations. This is a real treat for us as we continue to bring our audiences the experts in travel. Gary along with his father is the owner of BRENDAN Worldwide Vacations. He has spent his entire life in the travel industry and at BRENDAN, the buck stops at Gary. We will get the straight answers on how you can have an affordable vacation that is styled to your likes and your wants. Yes, as Gary says, escorted tours are back, but boy are they different now its a whole new ballgame than when they were first introduced in the 50s and 60s. We'll also discuss one of the hottest trends, River Cruising in Europe. What's not to like? Small, intimate ships, wonderful food and shopping at every port are on the agenda. Dont miss this compelling conversation with one of the worlds leading tour operators.
We will also have onboard our good friend Rod LaBranche from Old Town Trolley Tours in San Diego. This entertaining tour company is one of the last family-owned operations in the country and has facilities in 6 metro areas in the US including Boston, Washington DC, Key West, Savannah, St Augustine and San Diego. We have lots of give-aways.
Detective Gary Hassen will be joining us to talk about vacation safety and smart decisions that will make your trip safe and memorable. Also coming to us from La Jolla, CA is author Eric Masterman. Eric wrote La Jolla, A Pictorial Tour. We will also be giving copies of Erics book away throughout the program.
This weeks travel tip:
As I travel throughout this beautiful world this past year, I have had one constant companion. As much as I wish I could say it was my wonderful husband, unfortunately I cannot as life is not that perfect. However, if I must have a second companion of choice for my world travels, it is my TUTTO luggage. TUTTO is the unique new carry-on luggage design thats lightweight, collapsible and very easy to travel with. It has four wheels instead of just two so it lessens the weight and strain on the user's back and arms. Its my favorite carry-on luggage and it goes EVERYWHERE with me. Youre probably saying, Are you for real? Carry-on luggage that makes your heart sing? Yes, Im for real. As a professional traveler, I depend upon my equipment being easy to transport and arriving as safely as I pack it. With my 4-wheel rolling TUTTO, Im sure that everything Ive packed will get to our destination safe and sound including my most delicate and essential electronics including laptops, recording equipment and digital cameras. TUTTO means everything in Italian, and the very first time you glide the TUTTO around you realize there really is a way to transport and carry-on up to 40 lbs with the ease of the four rollerblade-type wheels. Ive taken it through so many cobblestone streets in countries around the globe that I thought the wheels would vibrate off, but no way. Its a solid piece. I can maneuver the entire unit with one finger and with no weight at all unlike all the two-wheel rolling luggage pieces. TUTTO doesnt fall over or get stuck in aircraft aisles like the standard two-wheel luggage pieces always do. Since I got my TUTTO, I have been on 25 different airlines and all the overhead compartments have been amply big enough for the TUTTO. The TUTTO frame is built to handle even more weight, it can carry another bag on top with ease and you can even use the TUTTO as a seat when the boarding area is maxed out. I have to confess my TUTTO has been there through thick and thin and even after 200,000 miles it sits in my office ready to schlep my cameras and computers off again for another assignment anywhere in the world at a moments notice.
And now TUTTO comes in both classic and fun colors and lots of sizes and models, too, including pet carriers and mobile offices! I love this luggage and that's why I've chosen it as the official luggage of TravelTalkRADIO. Go to www.TUTTO.com for more information.
Warm regards,
Sandy Dhuyvetter |
