Whenever we
travel, we
use our TV
camera to
capture some
of the
coolest
looks from
around the
world and
when were
not on the
road, I
present
a travel
feature on
TV to
our
audiences in
Southern
California on
Saturday
mornings
on Channel 9
KUSI. This
Saturday
well be
taking our
viewers on a
helicopter
tour of the
Grand
Canyon. Now
this one is
some
eye-candy
for sure!
Keep an eye
out for the
archive of
this segment at
TravelTalkRADIO.com
And of
course,
every Sunday
no matter
where we
might be, we
celebrate
travel in a
big way from
9 11am
Pacific Time
by
broadcasting
live on
conventional
radio
stations
around the
world and on
the Internet
worldwide.
As we
approach
August, we
move into
celebrating our 5th
anniversary
of radio, TV
and Web
distribution.
It seems
only
appropriate
that we celebrate
our precious
freedom of
travel in
these times
of war and
unrest.
Travel is a
robust
engine that
lives in a
very fragile
environment
as we have
witnessed
time and
time again
with the
pounding of
Mother
Nature, man
against man
and the
spread of
sickness.
Travel is
far more
than a tour
that merely
stops,
stands and
stares and
it is much
more then
heads in
beds. Travel
symbolizes
luxury,
freedom,
pleasure and
satisfaction.
One might
suggest that
travel is
merely
recreation.
However,
examining
more closely
the root
word of
recreation,
we see that
re-creating
oneself is
truly the
desired
outcome of
the travel
experience.
Travel and
tourism is
the only
industry of
its size
that truly
offers
cultural
exchange and
facilitates
peace and
understanding
between
people
around the
world. By
the sheer
nature of
travel,
crossing
borders enhances
the
understanding other
cultures.
The industry
is an
economic
engine that
can bring
widespread
wealth and
abundance to
regions and
people as
well as their
governments.
The economic
impact of
tourism is a
source of
sustainable
income for
many.
Elevating
our
understanding
of the power
and impact
of tourism
is
essential.
As
travelers,
it is
important
for us to
realize that
the world's
travel and
tourism
industry is
expected to
generate
more than $6
trillion
U.S. dollars
this year
alone! This
is not a
figure we
should
ignore but
rather one
we should
build on
together as
we celebrate
the magic of
travel.
Please join
us Sunday
morning on
your
favorite
conventional
radio
station or
online when
we connect
you to the
world of
experts in
travel.
Safe
travels,
Sandy

Celebrating music from
around the world.
This week's music will highlight the album of Steve Connolly, called Truth.
 |
Steve has performed over 3000 times at the MGM, Riviera, Caesar's and Bellagio. Steve Connolly remains the only entertainer depicting Elvis to occupy a major room (the Jubilee Theater) at a major Strip Casino (Bally's 1999 show "Love Him Tender"). All have publicly recognized Steve as the best in Elvis Entertainment. In 1999 Steve won a prestigious contest in Las Vegas recognizing him as the Best Elvis in Vegas.
