Welcome to this weeks TravelTalkMEDIA newsletter. This weeks it is all about Los Angeles and the KNBC Travel Expo! We are delighted to return for our second year of broadcasting live from this huge show.
Channel 4 KNBC anchor man, Chuck Henry, also a native of LA, joined me this week to talk about the upcoming Travel Expo sponsored by KNBC and Telemundo 52. Chuck points out that the exhibitors at the show are on the Whos Who List in Travel and over $35,000 will be awarded throughout the weekend as prizes and giveaways. And unlike so many other expos, the entire two days are entirely free to the public. |

Weve assembled a great lineup for the entire 3 hour program, including travel all-stars Gary Murphy, the founder of Brendan Worldwide Vacations, and tourism leaders from China, Mammoth Lakes, Coastal Vacations and the Mexicali & San Felipe Tourism Board.
ISRAEL is our subject for this weekend's TV travel segment on Good Morning San Diego on KUSI Channel 9. After the live KUSI broadcast, we'll have the footage available on our Web site at www.TravelTalkRADIO.com. Israel is a country of many colors. We were fortunate to travel with the American Tourism Society this past month. With the help of many tourism suppliers and the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, we were able to travel the country from the northern border near Lebanon and Syria to Masada located in the southern region of the country. We stayed in kibbutz in northern and southern Israel, we dined at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, we followed the Stations of the Cross and we walked in the footprints of King Herod in Caesarea. From the trendy cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa to the holy cities of Nazareth and Capernaum in Galilee we were guided through historic and religious sites and abundant countrysides filled with exquisite fruits and vegetables. The Israel I found is not what I expected from watching television and reading mainstream newspapers. We will be bringing you experts from Israel each week as we continue to learn more about this most misrepresented country in the world.
