Welcome to TravelTalkRADIO's weekly newsletter. |
And welcome to all of you who are just being introduced to TravelTalkRADIO for the first time. We have been around for a few years, five to be exact, and we continue to make strides on growing our beautiful audiences. Our latest growth came from the addition of Sandys Blog. It took about 10 seconds for that to be found and now its a great way for our listeners and viewers to have a first-hand connection to our resources at TravelTalkRADIO.com.

Egypt is still on our minds as we continue to bring you new and exciting information about a country that invites you to explore and enjoy.
Its always a pleasure to see whats on the mind of travelers these days as our world continues to move and oscillate under the ever-changing characteristics of travel. No matter the challenge, we have all been a witness to the resilience of travel. Right now, were watching the rise of tour operators from the ashes in Lebanon and the coup in Thailand. And dont forget the Phoenician-like tour and travel industry in New Orleans where it was the first business sector to come fully back to life after the Katrina disaster. It takes people to make the difference, and we salute all the tour and travel industry workers. From travel agents and tour operators to the waiter who delivered pizza on the pier in your favorite waterfront city, these are the folks that continue to be the ambassadors of travel. They are in control of the guests experiences with their enthusiasm and warmth. The image they create as local citizens is what is left in the mind and memory of the traveler. Most of all, we salute travelers everywhere who realize the economic, social and personal benefits of travel.
Not wanting to loose our glow from Egypt, we are about to set out to Thailand next week. Well be covering the Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meeting Asia (IT&CMA) conference held in conjunction with the Corporate Travel World (CTW) Pacific Asia exhibition in Pattaya. Well be checking out Thai Air and the new mega-port of Southeast Asia, Suvarnabhumi Airport outside of Bangkok, planned to be the biggest and busiest in the entire region. Well also be looking into one of the largest travel sectors in this part of the world, medical tourism. It should be very interesting as the next 10 years unfolds and we watch our Pacific neighbors to the east begin to welcome records numbers of travelers into their countries, and to send record numbers outbound as well. This outbound figure will represent billions of dollars to economies worldwide.
As we continue to publish programming on our experiences in Egypt, we are struck by the fact how excited we are to return to this fascinating country as soon as possible. Until then, we have plenty of new footage on Egypt that you can be sure to see over the next several weeks at TravelTalkTV. Stay tuned and be sure to visit me on Sandys Blog at http://travelwithsandy.blogspot.com/ |
