LOS ANGELES December 28, 2007 Fandango, the nations leading moviegoer destination, has unveiled the results of its first annual Fandango Fan Favorite Awards, honoring the years most memorable achievements. During a two-week online polling period in December 2007, thousands of Fandango filmgoers were asked to vote for the years big-screen achievements most deserving of recognition. The results speak to an unusual year at the movies, while honoring winners like John Travolta (Favorite Drag Performance), Johnny Depp (Top Screen Psycho) and Katherine Heigl (Movie Mom Id Most Like to Date) in a variety of not-quite traditional categories.
The winners of the first annual Fandango Fan Favorite Awards include:
MOST CINEMATIC CITY
(FAVORITE PERFORMANCE BY A CITY)
WINNER: New York City (in ENCHANTED, AUGUST RUSH, AMERICAN GANGSTER, I AM LEGEND, etc.).
Runner-ups: Las Vegas (in OCEAN'S 13, RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, and SMOKIN' ACES, etc.); Paris (in RATATOUILLE, THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM, & RUSH HOUR 3, etc.).
