Dr. Tarlow is a
sociologist
specializing in
the impact of
crime and
terrorism on the
tourism industry.
Earning his Ph.D.
in sociology from
Texas A&M
University Dr.
Tarlow also holds
degrees in
history, Spanish
and Hebrew
literatures, and
psychotherapy.
In
1990, Dr. Tarlow
introduced one of
the nation's first
courses on the
subject of
Sociology of
Tourism. In 1994,
he designed and
taught a
groundbreaking
curriculum on
Tourism, Crime &
Security. For the
last few years,
Tarlow has taught
tourism security
courses for the
International
Association of
Chiefs of Police.
