Formed in 1985, the Juneau Convention and Visitors Bureau is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to economic development in Juneau, Alaska through promoting and marketing Juneau as a year-round visitor destination.

At the base of grand mountain peaks and at the pristine waterfront of the Gastineau Channel is Juneau, Alaska's Peak Experience.

Alaska's capital city, Juneau is located in Southeast Alaska. The Tongass Rainforest climate provides Juneau with lush terrain and vibrant wildflowers. Early settlers included miners during Alaska's gold rush and Russian fur traders. The Tlingit and Haida Indians were the first settlers to our area. Native Alaska influence is prominent today in Juneau.

Juneau offers unparalleled glacier viewing from Tracy Arm Fjord, Mendenhall Glacier, the Juneau Icefield and Glacier Bay National Park. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Juneau's extraordinary kayaking, dogsledding, rafting, biking, hiking and glacier hiking. Winter enthusiasts will enjoy snowboarding and downhill, cross-country and heli-skiing.

Sandy and Patrick have been the heartbeat of the TravelTalkMEDIA offering. Sandy founded the company in May of 2001 and broadcast her first TravelTalkRADIO program on August 16, 2001. Between 2001 and 2004 when Patrick joined Sandy, she had already added to her distribution channels, conventional radio and TV stations, and online broadcasting. In 2005, the first weekly TravelTalkMEDIA newsletter was published. Through the efforts of Patrick, the newsletter circulation is over 20,000. Now in 2007, TravelTalkMEDIA is offering travel news feeds from around the world into the TravelTalkRADIO Web site. This coming year, Sandy hopes to add a weekly TV program offering both radio and TV coverage at the same time. Also in the mix is a motorcoach for road trips, remote broadcasts, all branded with TravelTalkMEDIA's sponsors and supporters. Stay tuned as we believe you ain't heard nothing yet!

Travel Talk Radio believes
T
ravel is a catalyst for creating communication, peace, and commerce among the countries
and communities of the world. It's difficult to fight with a culture where you have shared a glass of refreshment,
visited their neighborhoods and experienced their customs. And besides its really fun to get out there and jump on a train,
bus or plane, walk into a new environment,
taste new interesting food and talk with the locals. Building memories that are packed
with experiences of extraordinary places, great people and exciting events are at
the cornerstone in living a fruitful and harmonious life.
