Our visit to Lunda Sol

On Wednesday, the TravelTalkRADIO team visited Lunda Sol.  Upon arriving
we were greeted with dancers of all ages.  During the day trip we ventured to Catoca which is one of the largest diamond mines in the world.  The Catoca project has generated millions and millions of dollars for the country of Angola.  Above is the picture of the diamond mine.  Below is a picture of the sun as it was rising at 5:00 in the morning.

From Canada's vast and rugged Northwest to Africa's emerging nations, life's adventure continues to unfold for the Editor Publisher of Africa Travel Magazine and Air Highways of the World. Born in the Klondike Gold Rush capital of Dawson City, Yukon, Jerry Bird's wilderness adventures started early in life. In winter, dog teams, horse drawn sleighs, snowshoes, parkas and mukluks were part of the everyday scene, while ice floes on the Yukon River, flame-red fireweed and a brilliant midnight sun marked the changing seasons. Treks by saddle and pack horse, as part of a Canadian Government Topographical Survey team, scaling yet unnamed Yukon mountains, flights by float plane to remote lakes, and two exciting seasons as a crew member on the riverboat SS Keno, (below) set the stage for far-flung adventures to come.

If you visit the market you can  find various arts and crafts,  some of which include:
art paintings and statues made out of wood.

Historic Lisbon Apartment
Apartment with marvelous panoramic view to
Tagus River and Castle (#34476)

This apartment is located in a very typical area on one of Lisbon’s seven hills. The resplendent rooms are all with big windows facing Tagus River and Sγo Jorge Castle. Across the road you find a typical Portuguese bakery, I recommend you to try Pγo da Avσ (Grandmother bread). Within five minutes walk you are in the castle; on the opposite side at the same distance, you get to various museums and monuments. You also cannot miss the exciting city tour, taking the famous tram No. 28, it stops 50 m from the apartment. All kind of shopping and important churches and museums are easily accessible by walk. If you decide to enjoy the apartment, you are invited to take a glass of Port wine in your check-in.
