The
Country Friends will host the 49th annual "Appearance of Autumn"
fashion show held
in The Village Park located in downtown historic
Rancho Santa Fe. It is the largest outdoor fashion show
in the country with
1,000 attendees.

This year's fashions for fall is presented by Nordstrom.
Individual tickets to the Fashion Show are $65.00 per
person and Fashion Show Luncheon tickets are $50 per
person.
The price of admission to the Fashion
Show includes a wine
and tea reception immediately following the show. The
Nordstrom boutique will showcase fashions featured on the
runway and will be open for shopping at 11:00 a.m. prior
to the luncheon and at 2:20 p.m. after the show. |

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is offering two overnight
accommodation packages: one for two guests, and one for
single attendance. Both packages include a two-night stay
at The Inn (9/17 and 9/18), ticket(s) for the Clam Bake in
Del Mar on 9/17, ticket(s) for the Fashion Show Luncheon
and "Special Seating" ticket(s) for the Fashion
Show. The stay at the hotel and Clam Bake dinner are
taxable expenses; the Fashion Show Luncheon and tickets
are not.
Afternoon
Program - Wednesday, 9/17
Guests are scheduled to arrive at noontime on Wednesday,
September 17th. With check-in scheduled for 2pm, they can
have their bags stored at The Inn in the meantime.
The
"RSF Talk and Tour"
starts at 2pm at the hotel.

Guests will be escorted to the RSF Historical
Society. There will be
a 20-minute video and 10 minutes for Q&A. A brief walk
through the downtown Rancho Santa Fe commercial district
will end with a visit of The Country Friends
Consignment Shop (arrival 3pm). Coffee and tea will
be served along with a 30 minute shopping tour. The program ends at
4:00 pm.
California Clam Bake on Wednesday, 9/17
The guests will gather at the front lawn at The Inn at
4:45pm. The Inn will provide transportation to bring the
guests to The Inns beachfront cottage in Del Mar. The
Inn will host a sunset "California Clam
Bake", featuring Flamenco guitarist David De Alva. The Inn
guests will be welcomed with a glass of Champagne, followed by
a traditional Clam Bake. The dinner will last
until 9pm, when guests will be transported back to The
Inn.
Take Lomas Santa Fe Drive East, which becomes Linea Del
Cielo approximately 4 miles to The Inn.
South Exit West on Valley Parkway in Escondido which
becomes the Del Dios Highway and Paseo Delicias, 12 miles
to The Inn.
NorthExit West on Via Rancho Parkway to Del Dios
Highway, take Del Dios Highway West which becomes Paseo
Delicias to The Inn.

This
years Beneficiaries:
ElderHelp of San Diego serves seniors who live alone,
are frail, and have limited resources. Their CARE
CONNECTION program supports seniors with high quality
clinical social services that are uniquely focused on
helping seniors with the daily tasks of living
independently at home. A Care Plan connects each client
with the services that he/she needs most at no cost.
Seniors may need a grocery shopper, help with sorting
their mail, balancing their checkbook, transportation,
patient advocacy, medication management, home repair or
special equipment to help them get around. ElderHelp is
helping over 1,700 seniors through the CARE CONNECTION
program.

Vista
Hill recently celebrated 45 years of leadership as a
nonprofit corporation dedicated to creating stronger
families in San Diego County. Vista Hill provides
assistance to youth and families in the areas of mental
health, chemical dependencies, developmental disabilities
and education, currently reaching more than 3,000 families
annually. The Stein Education Center, Vista Hills
largest and oldest program, is known nationally for its
success in working with children and adults with severe
developmental disabilities including: autism, cerebral
palsy, mental retardation and other neurological
disorders. Stein Education Center programs are designed to
remove barriers to successful education, social,
recreational and vocational experiences for any child or
adult, regardless of their level of disability.
About the Host:
The Country Friends is a philanthropic
organization that dedicates its activities to
raising funds for social service agencies
committed to helping women, children and the
elderly throughout San Diego County. In addition
to hosting fundraising events, The
Country Friends operates a consignment shop located
in the village of Rancho Santa Fe at 6030 El Tordo,
that donates all proceeds to charity. The shop is
open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. and consignments are accepted
through appointment by calling 858/756-1192 ext.

is to "help others to help themselves".
Next year will mark the 50th Anniversary of this
San Diego institution.
