MEET RAFI BAERI, Chairman,
Marketing Directors Forum of the Israel Hotel Managers Association.

This week on TravelTalkRADIO Rafi Baeri from the Dan Hotels shares with Sandy the latest news from Israel. Sandy was just in Israel with the American Tourism Society and met with Rafi in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Rafi talks to Sandy about a new groundbreaking tour program and which for the first time featured together senior hospitality executives of Egypt, Jordan, The Palestinian Authority and Israel. The Tourism4Peace initiative is facilitated by the Peres Center for Peace.  Their presentation at the American Tourism Society meeting in Tel Aviv included a prototype tour brochure, “Pillar of Civilization,” which illustrates their vision for regional tourism promotion.  The four-country tour program offers cultural experiences, religious pilgrimages to the Holy Land and a wide variety of tourist sites and resorts (deserts, cities, markets, health tourism, adventure, etc). 

The activities are sponsored by the Peres Institute for Peace and the peson in charge of it is Idit Nirel. 
 The delegates for the Palestinian Authority are Raed Saad & Yousef Daher. The Jordanian representative is Abdul Hakeem ElHindi. All above were present at the ATS presentation at the King David. The Egyptian representative is Mr El Hami ElZayat.
