2004 Coverage of People, Events and Destinations
Each year, Sandy and her crews cover some of the best travel stories in the world.
Here are the highlights for the past 12 months:

2004
December 2004:
Sandy traveled to Logan, Utah, home of Interactive Rides, Inc., to preview the new “Insanity” thrill ride being created there for the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas. After capturing TV footage of the new ride at the factory and interviewing the founder and President of Interactive Rides, Clay Slade, and the General Manager and VP of Operations of the Stratosphere Hotel, Bobby Ray Harris, Sandy was on to CBS affiliate Channel 2 KBCI Television in Boise, Idaho to appear on the morning news on a segment featuring the ride: http://www.traveltalkradio.com/archives/stratosphereDec21_04.wmv. The ride will be disassembled in Logan in January and shipped by truck to Las Vegas where it will be heli-lifted by a Sikorsky Skycrane to the top of the Stratosphere 1000’ above the Strip for installation. Sandy will be there to cover both the heli-lift in late January 2005 and when the new “Insanity” ride opens to the public in late February 2005. More at www.insanityride.com. November 2004: Sandy and crew traveled to London to cover the World Travel Mart, one of the largest travel trade shows on the planet. Then it was off to the World Tourism Marketing Summit (WTMS) in Nanjing, China where Sandy was a featured speaker on a panel with Peter Greenberg, anchor of the Travel Channel and NBC Today Show's travel guru. Also on the panel with Sandy was Arnie Weissmann, Editor-in-Chief of Travel Weekly, and Mr. Hong Wang, President of the China Travel Channel. Sandy made some incredible connections at the summit and has started to provide content for weekly segments on both China National Radio and the China Travel Channel. Sandy did a live remote broadcast of TravelTalkRADIO from the Nanjing summit with Sujit Chowdhury, President and CEO of the World Trade University and Secretary General of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Also appearing as Sandy's guest on the show was Mr. Yu Changjiang, Minister of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Tourism. Sandy then made an appearance at the China International Travel Mart in Shanghai before returning home to her studios in Southern California. We are delighted that Sandy has truly become an internationally recognized travel expert. The strong emergence of the outbound travel market in the Asia Pacific region will be of key importance to US tourism destinations during the next 10 years and TravelTalkRADIO is well positioned to reach that market.
