Sandy serves as an advisor the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on international travel related issues.  She serves as the host of the World Tourism Market London annual awards program, as a host of the annual PATA conference, and as a host and broadcaster of numerous international travel conventions and conferences around the world.

Sandy is actively involved as a leader of the American Tourism Society whose mission is to open and to introduce sustainable tourism to new, emerging markets for travelers from North America and Europe.  And with the Africa Travel Association, the leading travel and tourism organization for Africa.

Sandy led TravelTalkMEDIA’s coverage of the New York Times Travel Show this year and will be playing a leadership role at the UATP, WTM, Arabian Travel Market, and other international travel conferences and conventions in India, China, Europe, and the U.S. later this year. And she has played a leadership role for Tourism4Peace and many NGOs promoting sustainable tourism and the positive, economic development aspects of international tourism.
