Sandy just came back from 10 days in both Holland and England. She attended the Tourism4Peace Summit at the Christelijke Hogeschool Netherlands (CHN) in Leeuwarden. Tourism leaders from Jordan, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian Authority discussed strengthening international tourism to the Middle East.
The three day conference included topics that identified the present state of tourism in their respective countries and how each neighboring region can assist the others in developing positive worldwide visibility and attracting tourism from around the globe. Sandy was the only media person invited to cover the conference. |
|
Before leaving Holland, Sandy took a day off to enjoy a side trip back to the Hague where she enjoyed lovely dinners and museums with friends from San Diego who have moved in Holland.
Then she was off to the World Travel Market (WTM), which is the second largest travel expo in the World. Over 10,000 exhibitors from around the world show off their destinations and products.
During the WTM, Sandy also spoke at a special conference on China about TravelTalkRADIOs role in China with other radio stations and how we share our programming with the new media. Travel in China is huge and becoming more important to the economy. The Olympics are coming in 2008 and London is excited about their bid being taken for 2012. |
