Every year, a quarter-million visitors make the trek to the Pumpkin Capital of the World for the epic Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival. The festival will be held on October 14-15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street between Miramontes and Spruce Streets in Half Moon Bay. Half Moon Bay Festival and Giant Pumpkin Contest: October 9, 2006. 7:30am - 10:30am Hugepumpkins will take place at Half Moon Bays annual heavyweight championship. This year, almost 100 participants will compete, hoping to have the heaviest pumpkins to get the title. The champion gets $5 per pound for the winning pumpkin.
Harvest-Inspired Arts and Crafts: Visitors will find thousands of gorgeous handcrafted items by Americas finest artists and craft makers. Featuring Original work in wood, glass, metals, ceramics, sculptures, photography, paintings and lots more !
