Make a difference on your next
More and more travelers are giving back to communities world wide.
Many of those travelers believe they are playing an
important part of bringing about world peace.
"Travel That Feeds The Soul"
In 1984, Global Volunteers laid the foundation for what
became known a decade later as "volunteer
vacations": short-term service opportunities on
community development programs in host communities abroad.
Today, as the preeminent private, non-profit, non-sectarian
organization offering volunteer vacations worldwide, Global
Volunteers mobilizes some 150 service-learning teams
year-around to work in 19 countries on five continents.

TRAVELERS CONSERVATION FOUNDATION
Travelers Conservation Foundation (TCF) will talk about being
founded by the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA)
to help preserve, conserve and promote responsible use of our
worlds natural, cultural and historic treasures. Their first
project will be launched this June when more than 300 travel and
tourism industry executives and their colleagues pick up rakes,
shovels, and paintbrushes and join together on Ellis Island at
the inaugural Tourism-Caring for America event. This momentous
occasion provides the tourism industry a chance to "give
back" to a country that has allowed it to flourish.
